Gerard Pique Bernebeu or better known by the name of Gerard Pique Barcelona is a football player who is also a member of the Spanish national team. The player plays as a central defender was born in Barcelona on 2 February 1987.
Gerard Pique is a product of Barcelona's football academy which is known by the name of Barca's Centera. After a four seasons playing in England with Manchester United, Pique back to Barcelona and immediately become a core player in the Catalan team's origin in the 2008-2009 season.
Although began his career at Barcelona football academy, Pique signed first professional contract as a football player with Manchester United in 2004. Pique made his debut with the Red Devils in October 2004 to replace John O'Shea as United's 3-0 win over Crewe Alexandra in the League Cup.
Since it is considered not ready to play in the first team Manchester United, Sir Alex Ferguson loaned to Real Zaragoza Pique during the 2006-2007 season. Together Zaragoza, Pique regular play in 22 league matches and scored 2 goals.
On May 27, 2008, Pique finally officially back to his boyhood club Barcelona, with a nominal transfers that are not published. Pique said he was deeply happy to re-invigorate the club which became the first football career despite the admitted very excited to be playing at Manchester United.
In the Spanish national team, Pique, who plays regularly at the level of U-19, U-20, and U-21 diving debut at the Matador team on February 6, 2009 when Spain won 2-0 over England.
